This website has been designed to inform you of the services available from the surgery and how you can obtain them. We trust that you will find it helpful and informative.
|Each patient who uses eConsultation will receive a request via email to complete a survey regarding their experience of this service seven days after their eConsultation. This email survey will come from the eConsult provider not Brook Lane Surgery.
Please note that between 6.30pm on Friday and 8.30am on Monday there will be no facility to complete an online consultation to your surgery. The eConsult facility is still available as a self-help guide and will point you to other suitable services for help if required. If you still feel you need to speak to your GP then you can contact us when we are open during core hours.
Pharmacies remain open and information on their locations can be found here. If you need help more quickly and your issue is urgent please use the NHS 111 helpline by dialling 111 from any phone, or by visiting https://111.nhs.uk/. 111 online or the NHS App are also good places to check your symptoms. Call 999 at any time in a medical emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please Note: This service is intended for our patients who are 18 or over and in the UK at the time of using e-Consult – and not those who are overseas for any reason.
The practice regrets that it cannot offer telephone or email consultations to patients who are outside of the UK, and for legal reasons we are not in a position to deal with any clinical issues involving patients who are abroad. If you are travelling abroad, you should ensure that you have adequate medical/travel insurance. In the event that you require medical assistance, you should seek a local service and inform your insurance company as appropriate.
On return from your travels, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery if you need further assistance and bring any relevant medical information relating to the episode with you.
If you’re travelling in Europe, apply for a free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which may give you access to reduced cost medical treatment in Europe. For more general information about healthcare abroad, go to the NHS Choices website (www.nhs.uk) and search for ‘healthcare abroad.’
